General Questions

What is the content and features of the English version of Womanlandia?

The English version of Womanlandia offers a wide collection of original articles translated into English. There may be some older articles or pages that have been translated automatically. Starting February 2024, the English version is updated daily with translations, mirroring the content available in the Greek version. Please note that while articles are translated, comments, group discussions, and the content of the WMNL feed remain in their original language and are not translated into English. For access to the full range of content, please visit the original (Greek) version of Womanlandia at womanlandia.com. Additionally, for users of the English version, we’ve established the Womanlandia International Readers Group, you can join it here.

What can I access without a subscription?

Without a subscription, you cannot access the content of Womanlandia. With a subscription, you gain full access to Womanlandia’s written and visual content, including groups and all events. You can engage in chats with other members, share files, tag and follow, post on your timeline or in the WMNL feed, comment on all posts, submit your articles, and fully immerse yourself in the Womanlandia experience.

WMNL Subscription and Registration

What types of subscriptions are available?

There are daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual membership plans available, which you can find here.

The monthly, quarterly, and annual membership plans offer discounts compared to the daily plan. Additionally, the monthly, quarterly, and annual plans renew automatically at the end of the period.

You can cancel your membership at any time by going to “My Subscription” and then selecting the Cancel option.

How can I subscribe to Womanlandia?

The process is very simple. Select the orange button at the top right of the website and follow the steps that follow or by clicking here. If you have additional questions about the available packages, payment methods, and features of Womanlandia, the following frequently asked questions may be helpful to you. With a subscription, you have access to the full extent of the site’s written and visual content, groups, all events, you can make video calls, exchange files, tag and follow, create profiles and posts on your timeline, submit your article, and generally make use of the entire experience that Womanlandia can provide you.

How can I create my profile?

After successfully completing your subscription and once you have logged in, you choose whether you want your full name to be displayed or not. The only mandatory element is the nickname. You can then describe yourself, if you wish, and add a profile picture and cover photo. By clicking on the profile icon at the top right on the home page, you can manage your profile and timeline as you wish when logged in, add friends, participate in chats, groups, forums, and add photos and files, having all the capabilities of a social media platform.

I can't use the username I want, what am I doing wrong?

The username requested during registration must be in Latin characters and a single word. This is the only thing that does not change, but it is not what accompanies you later on the site. After registration, you can put whatever you want as ‘First Name’ and ‘Nickname’.

How can I gift a subscription?

When you are logged in, you can do it from your account by going to “My Subscription” and then “View all membership options”, here. In the catalog, choose whether you want to gift a one-month, three-month, or annual subscription. Then, enter the recipient’s email address and pay with your card. The recipient will receive a code. With this code, they will create an account, selecting the subscription they were gifted (monthly, quarterly, or annual), and enter the code they received in the “enter discount code” field.

How can I anonymously gift a subscription?

To send a subscription gift anonymously, follow the procedure below: a) Purchase the subscription you wish to gift from the Gift Options here as described in the previous question. b) In the email field, type the email [email protected]. c) Then, send us a message at [email protected] with the recipient’s email address to whom you want to send the gift, and we will forward it without revealing your username.

Payment Issues

What payment methods are available?

We accept all cards Visa, Mastercard, American Express και Discovery. You can also use Paypal to pay your subscription.

I receive the message "This transaction is not possible."

There have been issues with payments from some Banks that reject the transaction. If you have received a message stating ‘This transaction is not possible,’ then your Bank has canceled it, and you need to contact them to complete the transaction.

Can I deactivate the automatic renewal of my subscription each billing period?

Of course! Subscription management is done through the ‘My Subscription’ page, which you can find in the menu that appears at the top right (on desktop), next to your profile picture. By clicking the ‘cancel’ button (see the image below), you proceed to cancel your subscription and automatic renewal, and you will retain access to Womanlandia until the end of your billing period.

How can I cancel my subscription?

The cancellation of the subscription is done through the ‘My Subscription’ page, which you can find in the menu that appears at the top right (on desktop), next to your profile picture. By clicking the ‘cancel’ button (see the image below), you proceed to cancel your subscription while retaining access to Womanlandia until the end of your billing period.

What can I do via my profile?

You can access:
Comments – You can read the comments of the posts and leave your own comments.
Friends – Add friends so that you can chat, see each other’s timelines etc…
Messages/Chat – Here you can start private conversations with other members. You can also have group discussions by adding people.
Groups – Groups are large teams that can consist of many forums. Each grou comes with each own group chat. Once you enter the group, you are automatically added to the group chat. WMNL Feed – Displays the general activity of the site from all members. It’s a public space where we can comment on the activities of others, tag, follow others, and comment on published posts.

What is the WMNL Feed;

The same as the Facebook Feed without the sexism.

Can I help those who want and need a subscription but can't afford it'?

Με ποιον τρόπο μπορώ να πληρώσω την καταχώρηση μου;

Μπορείτε να πληρώσετε την καταχώρηση σας με χρεωστικές και πιστωτικές κάρτες Visa, Mastercard, American Express και Discovery.

Miscellaneous

I want to change my username

Your username cannot be changed without deleting your account and re-registering. If you wish to do so, please contact us using the form below related to technical issues, and we will inform you accordingly. Alternatively, you can change your nickname. To do this, follow these instructions: From your profile picture on the right side of the screen, select ‘Profile Settings.’ Then, you can update the information in the settings tab (First name, last name, nickname) and then save the changes by clicking ‘SAVE CHANGES’.

I wish to delete my account

We’re sorry to see you go, but here’s all the information for successfully deleting your account. IMPORTANT! Before completing the deletion, you must cancel your subscription to stop charges at the end of each billing period. Subscription cancellation can be done from the “My Subscription” page, which you can find in the menu at the top right (on desktop), next to your profile picture. By clicking the “cancel” button (see the image below), you proceed to cancel your subscription, thus maintaining access to Womanlandia until the end of your billing period. Next, you need to go to the “Account Settings” page, which you can find in the menu at the top right (on desktop), next to your profile picture. Locate the “Delete account” option from the settings menu and follow the displayed steps. If you forgot to cancel your subscription, please contact us through the “Facing an issue with my payment” form, and we will assist you promptly.

Common issues

How can I save my session (login) so I don't have to log in again?

You should select the “Remember Me” option available on the login page. Also, make sure you’re not logging in from private browsing mode or through social media (e.g., Facebook), and that you have accepted all cookies.

How can I modify the notifications I receive in my email?

To modify the notifications you receive in your email regarding:

  • Activity in WMNL Feed (activity feed)
  • Messages
  • Groups (social groups)
  • Forums and new Connections (friend requests)
Follow these steps: a) From your profile, at the top right of the website, select “My Account” b) Then, from the left column, select “Email preferences” c) There, you can enable (YES) or disable (NO) your email notifications Don’t forget to click “Save Changes” The above does not affect notifications you receive for article comments. To modify the notifications you receive in your email regarding article comments, follow these steps: a) Select any article from WMNL b) Then, go to the comments area: i) To subscribe to email notifications for new comments, select “Subscribe” (see option A in the following screenshot), “New follow-up comments”, and click on the orange button on the right. Important: To confirm your subscription to comments, you need to click on “Confirm Your Subscription” in the email you’ll receive. ii) To manage your subscriptions to comments, click on the user icon and gear next to the number of comments (see option B in the preceding screenshot). Then, from the “Subscriptions” field, you can unsubscribe from articles as desired.
